Edwalton welcomed Radcliffe for the second week in a row, this time for a league game.
We started brightly enough with James C and Zak deserving their places in the starting line up after their performances last week.
Radcliffe scored first from a long range shot that we didn’t close down and all of a sudden we were 1 – 0 down. We pushed on as we felt we could get level but eventually Radcliffe hit another long shot for another goal.
The pattern was set for the game but the guys persevered and late on in the second half we showed Radcliffe what we could do. A great ball from Dennis forward to Joe, a one two with Callum set Joe free and on the run. A cross saw the ball a whisker too far ahead of Dan to slot home. An excellent bit of play though that we weren’t able to repeat but gave us a glimpse of what we could do against the top side in our division.
Our Man of the Match was Dennis. A great performance with good passing, vision and great tackling gives Dennis the Captains armband for the next match.
