Match Report

The guys started tentatively and took some time to get into there stride. When they picked up the pace and started passing the ball we quickly got on top.

A fine pass from Tom to Harry just over the half way line gave Harry the time he needed to turn the defender. A strong run into the box just left the keeper to beat. A cool shot from close range easily beat the keeper and 1-0 to Edwalton!

James Inchley and Wils were having fine games. Solid tackling, great passing and some smart forward runs supporting the team when we were on the break.

Toms’ effort, determination and skill all over the pitch was causing Lowdham all sorts of problems.

Changes were made at half time and we continued to battle. We showed some flashes of brilliance from every quarter but were unable to clinch a deserved winner. Tom was continuing with his usual fantastic 100% commitment. James Inchley in defence was called upon many times and was up to the challenge with many strong tackles. The strikers, Joe and Harry were isolated at times but when we managed to break out plenty of blue and white stripe shirts were piling forward in support.

Man of the match today went to James Inchley – fie tackling and total commitment for the entire game, well done.
